Nanofiltration (NF) is a membrane-based process to effectively remove multivalent ions, pathogens, suspended particles, larger colloids etc. NF membranes have a nominal pore size of approximately 0.001 microns and an MWCO of 1,000 to 100,000 daltons. In order to obtain clear product water through such membranes, it is necessary to push water at higher operational pressure than Microfiltration (MF) or Ultrafiltration (UF). Typically operating pressure for NF is near 6-15 barg (600-1500 kPa).
GreenPebble Technologies is renowned Nanofiltration (NF) Plant and Systems Manufacturers in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India for Industrial Water & Wastewater Treatment.
Nanofiltration (NF) also removes hardness from water which makes the technology ideal to be implemented prior to reverse osmosis to extend the life of RO membrane. Water with hardness components for NF will need pretreatment to avoid precipitation of scaling precursor ions on the membrane.
